Understanding Dental Implants
One of the benefits of dental implants is that they can replace one or multiple teeth. For a single-tooth replacement, we'll place the implant into your jawbone during a simple surgical procedure and then allow it time to heal.
Since a tooth implant is made of biocompatible titanium, it naturally integrates with your bone over time through a process called osseointegration. Once it's fully healed and integrated, it's ready to support its restoration, which is a custom porcelain crown for a single tooth.
We can also use two to six dental implants to support a dental bridge or denture, which restores multiple missing teeth. No matter how many teeth you're missing, we'll work with you to determine the implant solution that best fits your lifestyle and goals.
Tooth loss affects more than just the appearance of your smile. It can also change how you bite, speak, and maintain your overall oral health. Without a tooth root in place, the surrounding jawbone can begin to deteriorate over time, and neighboring teeth may start to shift.
