Dr. Megan M. Faircloth
Dr. Faircloth began her education at Ferris State University, then earned her Master’s Degree from Case Western Reserve University and ultimately her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan.
For Dr. Faircloth, dentistry has always been about more than healthy teeth. It's about helping people feel better about themselves. That sense of purpose is what drew her to the field, and it continues to drive her work every day. She takes particular pride in creating positive experiences for patients who come to the office with dental anxiety, taking the time to make every visit feel comfortable, unhurried, and judgment-free.
Dr. Faircloth is committed to staying at the forefront of modern dentistry. She has pursued advanced training in techniques like Bioclear, clear aligner therapy, and biomimetic dentistry, allowing her to offer her patients the most innovative, minimally invasive options available.
Outside the office, Dr. Faircloth leads a full and varied life. She loves to read, garden, travel, cycle and soak up family time in Detroit with her partner Daniel, their two little ones, Walter and Beatrice, and Tilly, their long-haired miniature dachshund.
Tori
Dental Assistant
Tori Cherry brings enthusiasm and compassion to her role as a dental assistant at Harbortown Dental Care. She graduated from Accelerated Dental Academy and has been working in dentistry since 2019, joining our practice in 2024.
As a dental assistant, Tori supports both our patients and clinical team throughout dental visits. Her responsibilities include assisting during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, educating patients, and helping ensure each appointment runs smoothly. What she loves most about her work is helping patients feel comfortable and confident about their smiles.
Tori was drawn to dentistry because it allows her to make a positive impact on people's lives every day. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and relaxing at home with her Russian Blue cat, Smoke. She's also passionate about murder mysteries and true crime stories—whether reading a book or watching a documentary, she loves piecing together clues and trying to solve the mystery before the ending is revealed. When she's not solving fictional mysteries, you might find her catching up on her current favorite show, Invincible.
One of Tori's biggest travel goals is to visit Brazil someday, as she loves exploring new places, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures.
Barb
Insurance Coordinator
Barb enjoys helping people and has a deep understanding of dental practices, which she brings to her role as insurance coordinator at Harbortown Dental Care. Having started her dental journey as a dental assistant during her senior year of high school, she returned to the field in 2022 with a genuine love for working with the public.
In her current position, Barb handles insurance processing and manages accounts payable and receivable, ensuring our patients can focus on their care while she handles the financial details. Her favorite aspect of the job is working as part of our team to help the office run smoothly and efficiently, ultimately providing our patients with exceptional care.
When she's not helping patients navigate their insurance benefits, Barb enjoys tending to her flower garden and exploring new destinations through travel. She's also passionate about discovering walking trails near her new home, finding peace and adventure in nature's pathways.
Michelle
RDH - Dental Hygienist
Michelle brings more than three decades of experience to the Harbortown Dental Care team. Her journey in the field began in 1988 as a dental assistant, a role that sparked a love for patient care that only deepened over time. Driven by that passion, she returned to school for dental hygiene while continuing to work chairside, earning her degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. She joined the Harbortown family in March 2025, and she couldn't be happier to be part of Dr. Faircloth's team.
As a registered dental hygienist, Michelle's focus is on education, thorough cleanings, and staying attuned to each patient's overall health. She believes great dentistry is a team effort, with every member bringing unique strengths toward one shared goal: excellent patient care. What she loves most about Harbortown is that everyone on the team takes the time to truly educate patients, whether that means explaining a recommended treatment or walking someone through their home care routine, so they leave with the knowledge and tools to maintain a healthy smile for life.
People are at the heart of why Michelle chose this career. Every patient arrives with different needs, different concerns, and a different comfort level, and she finds real purpose in meeting each person exactly where they are.
Outside the office, Michelle is happiest when she's outdoors and in motion. She skates (both roller and ice), bikes, walks, and loves a good game of cornhole on the beach with the people she cares about. Music is a constant in her home, and there's almost always something playing in the background. Michelle also has a fun claim to fame: she skated for five years with the Border City Brawlers, a full-contact roller derby league in Windsor, Ontario. These days she skates purely for the joy of it, and shares her home with a free-roam bunny named Daisy.
Brittany
Front Office Coordinator
Brittany Young brings nearly two decades of dental experience to her role as front office coordinator at Harbortown Dental Care. Since joining our practice in 2025, she has become an integral part of our team, ensuring that every patient receives exceptional care from the moment they walk through our doors.
Brittany's journey in dentistry began at just 17, when she started working at a local dental practice near her home. She began by filing and maintaining patient charts, gradually working her way up to front-desk responsibilities. Over the years, she has developed expertise in insurance verification, appointment scheduling, treatment planning, and patient financial coordination.
What sets Brittany apart is her genuine passion for building relationships with patients. She loves getting to know each person who visits our practice and takes pride in answering questions and making everyone feel comfortable. Her collaborative spirit shines through in her work with our team, where she's always ready to help wherever needed.
When she's not at the office, Brittany enjoys long walks while listening to her favorite music—it's her go-to way to stay active and energized. She also loves to unwind on her Shakti mat, a unique relaxation practice that helps her recharge. Most importantly, she cherishes time spent with her friends and family.
